More recently, on the occasion of the Sukkot holiday in Ashdod (Israel), the 3rd International Circus Festival was held.
Representatives of the Shaker circus visited the festival in order to support the artists who defended our country’s honor on the international level.
This year, many celebrities from the circus art were seen at the festival’s judging panel: the president of the Vevey Comedy Film Festival Eugene Chaplin, son of Charlie Chaplin; artistic director of the Parisian cabaret Moulin Rouge Thierry Utrillah; Philip Aghoog of the Cole du Soleil; the best-known trainer Boris Fedotov; Artistic Director of the International Circus Festival in Monte Carlo, Monaco, Alain Frer and many others.
The festival was attended by 60 artists and jury from around 20 countries of the world: Israel, Russia, Ukraine, Denmark, Georgia, Armenia, Spain, France, Italy, USA, Canada, Ethiopia, Poland, Monaco, Mexico, Moldova, Taiwan, Switzerland and Belorussia
“The festival this year was simply incredible. Our Ukrainian actors performed at a rather high level, received approval from the jury members. Equilibrium Victoria Dzyuba, in my opinion, was just great. The trio of “Ecoioki” clowns is generally worthy of the highest praise. The juggler Alexander Sobolev also made a high point, “shared Alexander Shaker’s impressions.
The festival in Ashdod was organized by the City Culture Company, in collaboration with the Dorato Circus, to prove that the circus is an art, not just entertainment.
“Throughout the world, circus art develops, and in our country, it’s not a shame to admit it, it’s harder for artists to give positive emotions to people,” Alexander Shecker summed up.
